Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've compiled a list of essential travel tips that will help get your Pinedale escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and remember to bring a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin. Flat, enclosed shoes are also recommended.
- The result of sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. The good news is there are proven ways to significantly reduce the risk of developing it. Drink plenty of water, get up and wander the aisles whenever possible and wear compression socks or tights.
