Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Plunge could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We've compiled some handy travel tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack in your passport, important documents, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a phone crammed with your favourite movies are some fantastic options. If you plan to catch a few z's, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by donning layers, and wear closed-toe, flat footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
