If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be a real challenge. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a comfortable start to your holiday in Puerto Cayo. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a fresh change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by layering up, and opt for closed-toe, flat shoes like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
