Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well prepared. Check out these handy tips that will get your Purulha escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a great experience if you take the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a good novel. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your aircraft are no fashion runway. Layer up with comfy clothing and remember to bring a sweater as it tends to get cool inside the cabin on long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a sensible choice.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-haul flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help minimize this risk.
