We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and having a blast in Salt Cay before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
