Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of handy tips that will help get your San Luis escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, leave space in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and go for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
