We’ve rounded up all the info you need to make your flight an enjoyable experience. Follow our top tips and you’ll be hightailing it through the airport and having a ball in Sarajevo in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you take the right stuff. First things first, you’ll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don’t forget to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don’t have a sharp object lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The answer to a comfortable flight is as simple as your choice in clothes. Prepare for changes in temperature by bringing layers. That way you’ll stay nice and warm if the cabin starts to cool down. Shoes like flip flops and heels are best left in your checked suitcase. Instead, go for flat, closed-toed footwear like slip-ons. Your feet will thank you later.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. There’s plenty you can do to lower your risk. Wear a quality pair of compression tights or socks, drink lots of water often and get your legs and feet moving. Walk around the cabin when possible or perform exercises in your seat.
