We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and having a blast in Schluchsee in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, find room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your number one priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen feet are quite common. Roomy, closed-toed shoes are your best bet.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. There are plenty of ways to minimize your risk. Wear a quality pair of compression tights or socks, drink plenty of water and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or perform some simple exercises in your seat.
