We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and seeing the best of Sepang in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you pack the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
