If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be challenging. But there's no need to panic. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a trouble-free start to your time in Sheki. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as possible. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
