Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Shizuishan could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've compiled some handy travel tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a hassle-free travel experience is to be prepared. So, let's start with the basics: passport, boarding pass, bank cards and medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you occupied, like some electronic gadgets or a magazine. It's also wise to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of headphones. And of course, be sure to pop in toiletry items like a toothbrush, lip balm and a clean T-shirt.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of an airplane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and pack a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin during longer flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a sensible choice.
- The condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular foot and leg exercises while seated helps to prevent this happening. Wearing a good pair of compression socks can also help.
