Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Skalna could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some useful hints that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack in your passport, important documents, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favourite movies are some fantastic options. If you intend to take a short snooze, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of your aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and don't forget to bring a sweater as the temperature can drop in the cabin on long-haul flights. Closed-toed, flat shoes are always a good choice too.
- It's likely you've heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There's plenty you can do to mitigate your risk. Wear a good-quality pair of compression socks, drink lots of water and keep your legs and feet moving. Wander around the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
