Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy hints that will get your Springer holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a great flight experience is to be prepared. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, official ID, cash and medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you busy, like your laptop or a juicy novel. You'll also want to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earphones. And of course, don't forget to pop in toiletries like a toothbrush, facial wipes and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when deciding what to wear on your flight. Consider your footwear carefully too, as swollen feet and ankles are a common occurrence. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy work well.
- Unfortunately, a risk of flying long-haul is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help minimize this risk.
