Wherever you’re jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you’ve planned ahead. Check out these handy tips and tricks that will help get your Strobl holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be easy if you’ve got all the right things. Firstly, you’ll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare pair of socks and a good book. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, your medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won’t be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of an airplane are not the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and remember to take a sweater as it can get quite cool in the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a sensible choice.
- The condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It’s the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing regular leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this occurring. Wearing a good pair of compression tights or socks also helps reduce the risk.
