We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through airport security and exploring Taif in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack your passport, travel docs, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favourite shows are good options. If you hope to take a short nap, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Pick a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
