We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and exploring Takehara before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack your passport, official ID, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a phone filled with your favourite shows are good options. If you intend to take a quick nap, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items so you'll arrive looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a wise option, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
