Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Tét could be as easy as pie or it could go on forever. We've put together some useful travel tips that will help you start your next great adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items can differ between airlines, the general guide to follow is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes screwdrivers, blades, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sports equipment like ice skates, and objects that could injure passengers, such as pepper spray and firearms, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pick shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
