We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and exploring Thoen in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare pair of socks and something to read. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a sweater in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
