We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and enjoying Tralee in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you pack the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a clean set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to remove.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
