Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Trinidad could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. Below are some useful tips that will help you start your next great escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of your aircraft are no fashion runway. Layer up with comfortable clothing and bring a sweater as it tends to get cool in the cabin. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are always a good choice too.
- Unfortunately, one risk of flying long-haul is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help lower your risk.
