Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Trinity could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some handy tips that will help you start your next great escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet crammed with your favourite shows are good options. If you intend to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by dressing in layers, and wear flat, enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
