We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and seeing the best of Tromsø in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, make room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lessen your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your feet and legs moving.
