If you’re not prepared, travelling can be testing. But there’s no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a comfortable start to your time in Trondheim. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, important documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you’ll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a laptop crammed with your favourite shows are good options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you’ll step off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don’t have sharp or pointed objects lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Layer yourself up in natural-fibre clothing and take a jacket just in case you get cold. Pick a pair of well-fitting, flat shoes as your feet may swell a little during the flight. Leave the high heels and hiking boots in your main luggage.
- Most travellers are aware of DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. There’s lots you can do to minimize your risk. Wear compression tights or socks, drink plenty of water and keep your legs and feet moving. Wander around the cabin or perform some stretches in your seat.
