No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well organised. We've put together a list of handy tips that will help get your Tula de Allende escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a great experience if you pack the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
