We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and enjoying Urique in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good book. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a sharp object lurking in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by layering up, and opt for flat, enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
