Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy hints that will help get your Uyo holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having an amazing flight experience is to pack ahead. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, official ID, bank cards and any vital medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you entertained, like some electronic gadgets or a thrilling novel. It's also wise to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earphones. Last but not least, don't forget to toss in toiletry items like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a spare change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to bring a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
