We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be zooming through airport security and having a ball in Villeneuve in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack your passport, travel docs, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you intend to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you step off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of your aircraft are not the best place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and don't forget to bring a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are always a good choice too.
- A condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a quality pair of compression socks or tights is also recommended.
