Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to West End could be no sweat at all or it could drag on forever. We've rounded up some handy travel tips that will help you start your unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a wise option, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
