We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and having a blast in Wissant in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good novel. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and pick shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
