Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're prepared. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Worthing escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a sharp object lurking in your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Layer yourself up in natural fibers and don't forget to pack a sweater in case you get cold. Always go with flat, well-fitting shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the stilettos and heavy boots in your checked luggage.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-haul flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, make the most of every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help lower your risk.
