If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be testing. But there's no need to panic. Follow these tips and tricks for a comfortable start to your holiday in Yanahuara. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lessen your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your lower limbs often.
