Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Yaoundé could be as easy as pie or it could go on forever. We've compiled some handy tips that will help you start your next great escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel docs, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you hope to take a quick snooze, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a few toiletry items to ensure you step off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
