Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Yasugi could be no sweat at all or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some tips that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, official ID, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a laptop crammed with your favourite shows are always good options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items can differ between air carriers, the general rule to follow is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes box cutters, razor blades, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sporting equipment like hockey sticks, and items that could injure passengers, such as swords and batons, won't be allowed on board either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your aircraft are no fashion runway. Don comfortable layers and don't forget to bring a cardigan as it can get chilly in the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are also a good idea.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are numerous ways to lower your risk. Wear compression socks, drink plenty of water and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
