Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organised. Check out these handy travel tips that will get your Yiyang escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good novel. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your legs and feet moving.
