We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and having a blast in Zapatoca in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you carry the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, find room in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by layering up, and wear flat, easy-to-remove shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
