Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy hints that will help get your Zhoushan holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, put in your passport, important documents, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you intend to catch up on some sleep, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a pocket knife lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to pull on and off.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers on long-distance flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
