We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and having a ball in Zminj in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare set of clothes and a good novel. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose clothing is a smart choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
