If you're poorly prepared, travelling can be challenging. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy tips for a stress-free start to your holiday in Zug.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare set of clothes and a good read. Next, leave space in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between airlines, the general rule to follow is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes screwdrivers, drills, fuels and bleaching agents. Sports equipment like golf clubs, and objects that could harm passengers, such as pepper spray and guns, won't be allowed on board either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as possible. Layer up in natural fibers and remember to pack a sweater in case it gets cool in the cabin. Opt for a pair of flat, slightly roomy shoes as your feet may swell during the flight. Leave the stilettos and chunky boots in your checked luggage.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance flying is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To prevent this from happening, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression socks and tights are another great idea to help minimize this risk.
