"The hotel has large rooms for NYC. They are clean and everything works well. It is an easy walk to many of New York's best attractions, including Bryant Park, Time Square and the Empire State building. The lobby market and bar are both good, with friendly staff."

"Great location for our first trip to NYC, centrally located and handy for Hudson Yards, High Line and Madison Square Garden. Easily walkable to Times Sq and Empire State and other midtown attractions. Took us about 30 mins to walk to Central Park. The hotel has a very retro feel and look which we loved. We found the standard room a little smaller than expected but it was fine as we were out all day. Just don’t expect the modern style hotel. The staff were all pleasant and friendly especially Hector the concierge who was very helpful sorting our taxi back to airport. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to New York."

"It was overall GREAT until 2 issues: (1) AC stopped working 2nd to last night so both of our last nights were miserable. We had to call to get it fixed at 3am. Why does an engineer have to come to our room when they control it from somewhere else? Are you trying to save money? It was horrible roasting in the room that wouldn't go below 72 degrees!! (2) your front desk did not tell maids we had a late checkout. We paid $30 to sleep until we had to leave at 2pm because of the AC debacle that ruined our last day in the city. Then, the maid comes with an annoying tap with a key card at 12:30pm to ask why we are still in the room. We were sleeping (FINALLY) and then she woke us with the tapping and we couldn't get back to sleep. We paid $30 extra to be frustrated and tired. We have 2 rooms booked for Pride week and I will be canceling both due to these issues. Other than that, everyone was polite, friendly, food/atmosphere at Tao was good, rooms were perfectly laid out for the size, great bedding. Annoying to have to call for ice, but whatever. Unfortunatel, the two earlier issues are absolute deal breakers and we will cancel that e I ght thou sand bucks worth of business because of them. Bummer."

"Was supposed to get a complimentary boat ride and staff informed me they would email it to me. Never received it and end up having to pay full price for it. Probably would not have done it if it wasn’t recommended and complimentary as the staff said it would be"
