One night in Cherbourg

Great location for centre of town and bars and restaurants, free parking across the road by the Napoleon statue, good warm welcome, perfect for an overnight night stay. Didn’t try breakfast went to a local cafe with a view of the harbour instead

Comfortable stay

Hotel 67 is really a block of about 30 rooms within the Gleneagle hotel. The brutalist/minimalist decor of the room (exposed concrete and wire conduits etc) may not be for everybody, and is not aging well. Our window (overlooking a roof with noise AC units) was broken an difficult to close. That being said, the bars and restaurants and other facilities of the Gleneagle hotel are great, and the room was very comfortable. Having a boxed breakfast delivered to the room may be an unusual choice, but the quality of the food was good and we found it convenient.

We chose and confirmed a room that specified a view of the harbor. This was not a request; this was the description of the room. When we checked in we were told that a harbor view room was not available.Our room had a view of only the backs of some old buildings. In addition. there was a large support column in the middle of the room combined with a sloping ceiling that blocked access to the right side of the bed.

Le personnel était très gentil et professionnel, c’est vraiment ce que j’ai le plus apprécié ! La chambre était spacieuse et propre. Ce que j’ai moins apprécié c’est la salle de bain car selon ma réservation j’aurais dû bénéficier d’une baignoire et ça n’était pas le cas, il y avait très peu de produit gel douche et shampooing dans le contenant, insuffisant pour deux personnes ! Les petites serviettes étaient très abîmées. Le petit déjeuner était correct mais choix insuffisant.

hotel très agréable

l'hotel est bien situé , face à la rade . Nous avions réservé une chambre supérieure avec vue mer ; la chambre ,située au 3ème étage , est très vaste et très bien équipée avec une superbe vue sur les ferries qui naviguent pour accoster . mais les chambres standard sont beaucoup plus petites et certaines avec vue sur la cour ( à l'opposé de la mer ) ; donc pour 30 € de plus prenez la chambre avec vue . excellent petit déjeuner ;
