"This new space is all that and more! They couldn't have been more helpful, and there was everything we needed for a simple two night stay. For those that may need longer stays, the amenities are top notch and they provide any essentials needed. We are so happy we found this location on our recent visit to the Norfolk area."

"This hotel didn’t have a pool for the kids also my room toilet didn’t work. The managers were horrible there. The lock on the door was unsecured. You just could push the door opened. My stay was horrible there. I would not stay there again. Never again!"

"The room photos were outdated but the property was clean and well maintained. The staff, however, were the best attribute to our experience here over a long weekend. Overall they were friendly but when my (5yr old) daughter lost my jewelry in our room, the hotel staff and maintenance turned the room upside down to try and help us to find them!! We couldn't have wished for better service!!! Thank you Candlewood staff and Melinda!"

"Had the best stay at Decoy's!!!! Cottage #1 exceeded our expectations - THE VIEW!!! the adorable decor, the most comfortable bedding... I could not recommend this place more. The area is super safe and kid-friendly. The cottages do not have front desk staff available in person, but everyone we spoke to over the phone was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We made the most beautiful memories here in the cottages with our family - 5 stars all around. Thank you, Decoy's!"

"The building and the staff were great! Such a cute property and a really nice room. Only downside was that it was pretty loud due to traffic noise outside (and an early morning party in the parking lot next door). But the staff and amenities were really top notch, and breakfast was very tasty both days!"

"Check in at 3am have been traveling all night to check in my room and it wasn't clean, had to sit in the lobby after driving almost 6 hours. Then after cleaning the room she only made the beds, then had to get wash clothes and towels after waiting, look under the beds and it was trash under both beds."

"Room reserved was not the room we were assigned. I considered the room a big downgrade from what I reserved and paid for. Promised phone call from the manager never came."

"If you’re on a budget then suck it up and use them but be prepared for hardship. It smells like smoke and urine. No overnight room service for towels or etc. Breakfast is sad. Not recommended for families or children young in age. They will do their best to make things work. Pool needs to be cleaned. Otherwise housekeeping staff is fantastic!!!"

"There were sirens, gun shots, a woman trying to sell us Jordan’s at midnight, another woman came knocking on our door & then ran away at 5 am. Did not feel safe staying there what so ever. The room was disgusting, the floor probably hadn’t been swept ever. The shower had mold & there wasn’t really any hot water. The mini fridge was covered in old food and the room smelled musty."

"I wasn't in the room very much, but it was comfortable when I returned at the end of the day. No worries about bugs or dirty sheets. It was a very nice stay with friendly staff."

"I Travel all the time. This was by far the best hotel I have stayed in. Excellent views, wonderful staff, clean and well maintained. Will come back again!"

"The bathroom was not clean. The front staff was notified about this and nothing was done to rectify it. Also, I paid for an upgraded room and did not receive it. Was told all the other rooms were sold out. Lastly, the room smelled of smoke when I booked a non-smoking room."

"My husband and I were impressed with the our short stay; the room was very spacious and had everything we needed. Sadly, the TV is not a smart TV but luckily, it was quick trip for us. A firestick might come in handy.l for future reference. We highly appreciated the complimentary breakfast. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and didnt have any issues."
