"We stayed at the hotel while attending my son’s ice hockey national final. Overall, the experience was just okay.
One of the main issues was breakfast. I had a very early start on Sunday, but breakfast did not begin until 8am, which meant we were unable to use the breakfast we had paid for. I asked the staff whether any food could be provided earlier, but was told this was not possible due to allergy concerns.
I also asked whether the money we had paid for breakfast could instead be used towards dinner in the hotel restaurant, but this was not offered as an option either. As a result, I am now having to request a refund from Hotels.com for the breakfast we paid for but could not access.
We also used the pool during our stay. Unfortunately, it felt like it could benefit from an upgrade and a more thorough clean.
While the staff were polite enough, I did not feel they went the extra mile on this occasion. Given the circumstances, especially knowing we had an early start for a national sporting final, a little flexibility or effort would have made a big difference."
