"We requested a room with two queens and saw our reservation was incorrect. Contacted the property to have it corrected and advise if our check in time we were arriving on a red eye flight with two children. We arrived at the property at 6a, were told we had two queens - got our family and luggage to the roon to find a standard king room. My husband had to go back to the front desk for it to be corrected. We finally got the correct room and got some sleep. Our family left the property at noon and asked that our room be serviced, Arrived back that night and it had not been serviced. Left the following morning at 11a and asked that our room be serviced, reiterating that we had not gotten service as requested. Returned that night and yet again, our room has not been serviced. We will not be returning to the property, the room was smaller than most competitors and contained random fitness equipment that we had not requested."

"Truly a terrible stay. The front area is nice but the rooms are a whole different building. It’s very old and smelly. Smells like mildew and smoke, and Mary Jane. Carpet needs to be ripped out and redone. Inside the room the ac emits a chemical smell when you change it form hot to cold, the bed was broken and sagged, the ac would randomly just not work at all because it’s old and the mildew smell from the hallway drifted in the room. My room was so uncomfortable I had to get out and just get fresh air. On the final day they switched my rooms but it didn’t get better. This is a ratty old hotel cosplaying as a nice hotel. I’ll be more careful staying at doubletree brand again. A cheaper newer 2 star comfort suites or something would have been better. They didn’t address my concerns while I was there in fact they were just rude to me. I spend over 50 nights a year in hotels and boy what a dump. I’m in a company paid cheap motel tonight and it’s better! No bad smells. I tried to reach out to hotels.com and the hotel to cut my visit short but neither would refund me. Truly a terrible experience. I would never book a wedding here. Me and other guests complained about the obvious disgusting smells on floor 2 getting on and off the elevator. One of the all time worst."

"Sadly my 14 year old daughter reserved a hotel without my consent with my card and due to there policy they did not consider given a refund due to there policy.. really ridiculous since it was not a authorized payment. I called 5 times and they never answered my call but yet good to charge my card."

"As usual Hyatt is great but I still miss microwave in rooms. Staff was great and breakfast was nice. My kids loveed it. It's in a safe area with security guard present during night. Best thing is that they gave a shuttle which can take you to midway and runs 24*7. We did not use it but practically we could have taken shuttle to midway and then CTA to downtown. Chicago downtown is just 14 miles away with average travel time of 35 to 40 mins. Will stay again for sure if I am in the area and not staying downtown."

"My room key was only programed for ONE NIGHT, so when we got in at 11:30pm (with our child) WE COULD NOT GET INTO OUR ROOM!! We had to go to the office and wait 30+ minutes for the attendant to return to the property. When she returned, there was no apology as if this was standard practice to only program the keys for one night at a time. They Stopped putting food out well before the 10am cut off end time for breakfast, when my family went to eat at 9:25am everything was empty. "Breakfast Included" was what we paid for, they did not have enough product to feed the guests. This property advertises "soundproof rooms" and they defiantly are not. Please don't advertise soundproof if you can't deliver when you are located 2.5mi from the airport! The Air intake vent in the bathroom was filthy dusty fuzzy as if it hadn't been wiped down in months. I'm all about a cheap "NO STARS" hotel but the purposeful deactivation of my room key and cutting breakfast off early should warrant a partial refund."

"A warm greeting from Nathan. He is a gem. I have a walking aid after surgery so they really wanted to help me. In Jill and Daisy they have two of the most helpful front desk ladies I have ever met. They checked in on me periodically to check on my needs. Also they made sure I had a good food delivery choice a as I was not able to go out. I needed to do some computer work and they helped with that. A good team usually has a good leader and I have to mention the general manager Glen. He saw I was a bit challenged in getting my breakfast going to a taxi. Top man. These kind of individuals are not the norm so please pay a visit."
