"Awesome location, directly across the street from the beach. No AC in main part of house. AC ran great in all bedrooms. Hot tub was not operational, and there was not toilet seat on one of the toilets. Manager said owner was shipping one from US, but never arrived. No daily housekeeping, refrigerator did not get or stay cold. And taxis we arranged for pick up to leave, never arrived. We were allotted one towel per person, and had to ask to get them changed out. "Casa Mar was absolutely beautiful. My wife and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary with a week away and we would definitely do it again. An added perk we didn’t even realize until arriving was that this house is associated with the Awa hotel brand and you get all the perks of the hotel that is within a 5 minute walk. "Every thing about the property and staff was world class. The only issue I have, and it is a very big issue, is lack of coordination with the airlines, Expedia, Nomade, and transportation services. When I first booked the package with Expedia, I wasn’t informed about the cost of transportation from Cancun to Holbox island. The biggest issue was that when I originally booked the flights, the plane would arrive in Cancun too late to catch the ferry to Holbox. When I found out the plane would arrive too late, I had already paid the Nomade hotel fee, which was not refundable. I was able to book a flight that arrived earlier, but it was very stressful. What made me so upset was that I am almost certainly not the first customer to have this issue. Other than the booking issue, everything was excellent."
