"The self serve check in machines x 2 were not working. No one the front desk, asked the lady managing the bar she said she would be there in a bit, but in the meantime continued to serve new people coming up to the bar, cleaned multiple tables all the time whilst I was waiting just to check in. Once I asked again and she came over to help,! but she was sickly sweet. I just wanted to check in. 20mins later it finally happened. Room was good, had kettle and tea available for the morning. "A very good location, opposite the King's Lynn Minster, at the end of the High Street, and close to the riverside. The suite was very large and well equipped. Clean and comfortable."

"Room was great, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Lovely quality toiletries and excellent to have a coffee machine. Parking was close to the room, and it was really helpful to have the little verandah overhang as it was running as we left! Only issue was lack of signage from the main road"

"The hotel was ideally located for visiting a relative in the nearby hospital. The ground floor room was large, with a large comfortable bed, kitchenette and bathroom. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge, hotplate and microwave. I enjoyed swimming pool and steam room and there was also a sauna and spa facilities. There was a garden and an outdoor seating area. As we were only staying over between hospital visits, we did not use the restaurant."

"This is the first negative review I've ever had to give. We stayed at The Golden Lion Hotel St. Ives. (13-14 Feb) We stayed in Room 20 which was very small and had the constant, very loud noise of the kitchen extractor humming. On the first night it was still on at 10.45pm and we had to ask Reception to deal with it and then it was back on, waking us up at 7pm. "Our room was very clean and nice . It was on the first floor above the lobby /toilets which has piped music from 7.30am until late into the evening which could be heard all day in our room. It was also positioned in the alley side of the building next to the pub which is also noisy . So maybe not the hotel to stay in if you’re hoping for a quiet get away . "
