Top Christiansted Hotel Reviews

Palms Resort and Beach
10/10 Excellent
"Big rooms. Frontbeach is so amazing and all the people"

Carina Bay Boutique All Inclusive Resort & Casino
10/10 Excellent
"The property was very beautiful and looked exactly like it’s pictures. The bathrooms were clean. The water was hot and the air conditioner was arctic! The staff went over and beyond. Will definitely book again!"

The Buccaneer Beach & Golf Resort
6/10 Okay
"Beach is great.
Evening restaurant slow not enough staff. Hit and mosquitoes abound. Food average at best.
No elevator
The driveway where you check in was made for very small cars
Parking near the main entrance was tough.
There is really only one beach that you can use.
The staff is great and do the best they can.
Room ceiling fan made a clunk clunk noise.
The room toilet was very small.
The one beach was great."

King Christian Hotel
4/10 Poor
"The room I stayed in was so tiny. I have never stayed in such a small hotel room before. There was no dresser and hardly any space to spread your things out. There was no way to block the light coming through the windows, even with the window coverings. It was noisy because the side gate was heavy and slammed when it closed, in addition to hearing everything else going on in the hotel. The staff was nice enough."

Tamarind Reef Resort Spa & Marina
6/10 Okay
"The view from our room was stunning. The gentleman that checked us in, the landscaper, and a few of the housekeeping women were very kind, but the remainder of the office staff were rude and made it apparent that they didn’t want to be bothered with our questions. This was the experience both in person and when we had called with a question prior to our arrival. When we did have questions we were greeted with an “out to lunch, be back in 30 minutes” sign more often than we were greeted by staff. There were a few resident roosters with a pretty consistent 4 AM Wake up call so if you’re a light sleeper, I highly suggest bringing some earplugs. The property is also home to about 15 stray cats that we were happy to adopt for the week. They were definitely friendlier than most of the office staff. The deep end bar on site was a fun place to hang out. Their menu is pretty limited, but the food was good, and the people were very friendly. I booked this property specifically for some of the amenities, such as the gym, laundry, Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas, and daily happy hour. These activities were promoted on the website, in several emails from the property prior to our arrival, as well as being advertised in our room. However, when we arrived we quickly learned the brunch, bottomless mimosas, and happy hour no longer existed. The laundry facility isn’t actually on site at all, you have to drive to the marina to use the shared machine, and we couldn’t access the gym. "

Hotel Caravelle St. Croix
6/10 Okay
"I was originally in a room 3rd floor One of the ladies came and told me they were upgrading my room. They moved me to the 2nd floor with oceanfront view. However the ice machine was right outside my door and very noisy. When they upgrade when not ask the guest should not be put next to the ice machine."

Hotel on the Cay
2/10 Terrible
"Property was under construction. There’s no parking for the car. I have to wake up every morning to move the car. The beach was dirty."

Sugar Apple Bed & Breakfast
8/10 Good
"A/C worked perfectly. Nice spacious room and clean."

Oceans at Carina Bay Adults Only
4/10 Poor
"I am so confused about the positive reviews and the reality of our stay.
The good:
The rooms were modern and clean
Some of the staff were hardworking and pleasant (Gregory? At the bar was great)
The bad:
The food! They had a lovely looking Italian restaurant that was closed without explanation. The only options were a subpar buffet (breakfast and dinner only) and a pool grill (lunch and dinner only). The buffet was limited and the food was not good. They don’t have an omelet station all days. Some days there was no wait staff, so guests had to clear their own tables. Since the only lunch option was a grill, the wait could be 40-60minutes (and some of the menu items unavailable). The site lists a cafe as a dining option, but they only have premade cookies.
Understaffed. The entire resort was severely understaffed. The site also lists a lobby bar, that was not open at all.
The site lists a second pool and a gym, neither of which are on site and we never found them.
No gift shop. If you run out of sunscreen or advil or anything, expect to spend $50 round trip in taxi fare and 40 minutes round trip into town.
Other observations:
Older crowd. Lots of 60+. Quiet vibe
The beach was beautiful to look at, but not swimmable because of seaweed.
All in all, I do not feel I received the trip I booked and paid for"
