"It's a slice of heaven. Immediately adjacent to Philmont Scout Ranch. Setting is perfect, isolated, peaceful. The innkeeper are exceptional. The Casa is like a villa with rooms arra get around a gracious patio. I hated to leave."

"This is an older hotel, so expectations should be par with that. Staff friendly and helpful. A/C is not "per room" but centrally controlled and was set at 66 degrees at night (too cold for me, but they did have plenty of blankets). The "free breakfast" is not at the location, but 4 blocks away at owner's diner. The food there was very good--ate both dinner and breakfast. The breakfast was truly excellent."

"Let me start off by saying the owners were great. They are in the process of remodeling other than being able to tell the difference between old and new you would never have known it. It was quiet. They did not have any building materials laying around or trash. When we pulled up they both greeted us and let us know that they were there and available if we needed anything. "Our stay was enjoyable and the property offered an amazing view. The room was clean and the bed sheets were fresh, which we really appreciated. The only concern we had was that when we opened the drawers, there was noticeable dust inside. This caused us to cough and sneeze a couple of times, though it settled quickly afterward. Aside from that, everything else was comfortable and we had a good experience overall."

"Rooms are extra big and fully stocked. Scenery inside and outside was beautiful. The cafe inside was a little expensive with their coffee $6 for medium size. Be prepared it can get hot in the rooms and not all of them or most of them dont have air conditioning. You pay extra for that."

"No, there was no where to check in and out at. They promised me a refund for an early check out so far never got one. No front desk, phone to call them on don’t work I emailed no response. Expedia tried to reach out they never responded to them for a refund no response. Staff was nice and very friendly. We upgraded to queen beds and only got 2 full size beds. Rooms were clean. When we showed up there was a staff room with a box on the ground out side with my room key in it. "

"Highly recommend! We were in a second floor room with a beautiful view of the River. While out around town, my wife fell and broke her ankle. I called from the emergency room in Taos and explained that I didn't think there was any way she could navigate the steps and it was our last night there. The young lady on duty informed me that they didn't have any ground level rooms available, but she called the owner and they moved us to a ground level suite at a sister hotel in town, no charge!
