"The room was okay. This was a remodel of an older hotel. The lobby was nice, the exterior was nice, but the room had been smoked in the past, and once that is baked into the walls and carpets, it never comes out. I can always tell because I’m very sensitive to cigarette smoke. The caulk job in the bathroom left some to be desired. The check-in gent was very kind and efficient. "Had to click on something to get to this part of the review. Never actually stayed at the hotel, but spoke to a lady called Catherine who was brilliant! We had to cancel due to family commitments, but good old Expedia wouldn’t refund as they said I was too late to do as, but I took out the cancellation cover with them which said I could cancel up to the 3/5, but they thought different. I will never use Expedia again. You need to speak to people not robots!!"

"Lovely staff! Comfy room and bed, very clean, silence at most times, you can use the toaster and microwave in their common area and complimentary coffee, tea, water in the room. Stunning nature around the hotel and a beautiful area in the backyard."

"Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of diffent options. A bit disappointed that there werent soft drinks available on tap only in bottles or cans and they were a bit pricey at £2.75 for a small 200ml bottle of Pepsi. Limited choice of menu for evening meal and again a bit pricey but very nice. The rooms were excellent, comfortable and easily accessible. The staff were fabulous and very polite and friendly!"

"Really good deal for the 3 of us for hotel with the night including dinner and breakfast. Staff were really good so was spa facilities for what you paid for. Overall would go again. But disappointed with dinner wasn’t told it was a buffet till we got to the restaurant ( we did prebook calling few days before and saw staff at check in where there was opportunity to tell us) Though the staff where excellent at accommodating the group member who had a food allergy and letting her choose of menu....

"This Hotel is dated but very clean and tidy and the staff are all welcoming, accommodating and professional. For the price Point the hotel offers exceptional value for money in its location to the NEC and Vox Conference Centre's as well as Birmingham International airport. Food offering was varied and sensibly priced and the well stocked bar reasonably priced too. The Hotel has a gym centre swimming pool which although i did not get to use seemed very reasonable. Nice to see a hotel keeping...

"check in was pretty easy. room was ok size not so bid, double bed was good with nice mattress but sofa bed for the child was terrible, very very bad condition, even 2 star hotels like travelodge have better then this. location was ideal so beautiful next to the lake. good enough mall next to building opend till late so its good. parking was big so £10 a night is ok to me."

"Lovely host, very helpful & pleasant, parking directly outside our room which was a good size & very clean. Lovely surroundings with horses in the stables to say hello to. Great directions for walking to our concert at bp pulse about 15 mins away. The breakfast was very nice & served very quickly. Would definitely stay again & highly recommend."
