"I was greeted with 2 fire trucks & lots of people at the front of the building just hanging out. Out of exhaustion & in an emergency due to me had been driving for 15 hrs, I checked in & was told something was going on with the elevator but everything would be good. Another guest stated that the elevator was on fire, & it was a great day for us all because we all would be getting huge discounts as she just did. I asked the attendant did I need to rebook elsewhere? She stated “NO”, everything is all good, the elevator was having issues. I then told the attendant that I had just previously had a surgery on my knee, & I could not climb many stairs. She told me that the only room they had available was on the second floor. So I took the room out of exhaustion & I limited choices. Walking to the room, through smoke filled halls & closed hall entry doors the room was just not as the photos gave from initial booking. We opened the door to a nice sized chunk of ceramic tile cracked at the entryway as we entered the room. The carpet in the room was so dirty by the time I left my socks were filthy as if I had been walking outside. The toilet leaned from side to side when sitting. Cigarette burn on the toilet. The toiletries that was supposed to be provided the body wash etc empty and the teas were not provided I had to call down to receive them. Wall heater was making a cracking sound but we needed the heat Bathroom was disgustingly moldy, smelt OLD in room. Towel rack was broken"

"The property was still under renovation but it did not take away from anything. Public spaces were clean and quiet. Our room was nice, updated and clean. Our television remote did not work so we used the manual buttons. Came for breakfast around 8:00a.m. and there wasn't much to choose from. We often book by what the reviews say, that being said we would book here again."
