"We had a great experience during our stay at the Hotel Glacier. Maria at the front desk is a star, so helpful, so kind and so efficient….we appreciate all her efforts to make our stay comfortable in what turned out to be opening week for the season. With unseasonably cold weather some things just need workarounds- TV wasn’t working yet, but Wi-Fi was excellent so we could stream shows. Plenty of hot water, fluffy towels and warm bedding to stay cozy. Easy walking to most sights & restaurants. Don’t be fooled by a tired exterior-inside decor is fresh and clean. Good value!"

"Very clean rooms, breakfast was the best so far with a great variety, there is a restaurant in the building. There was a slight mildew smell upon entering one hallway, but it had been raining a lot - it is Alaska... It's right next to the harbor and mountains all around so great scenery. Lobby had a fireplace which was nice to play cards next to. We did not check any other facility offers."

"Didn’t realize the room we rented was not located in the large log-cabin lodge pictured on the website. Rooms are in a separate building; they’re are old and outdated; our carpet had not been vacuumed. The room smelled musty and unclean. "
